New Starter and Pre-Placement Medical Screening

OHSB will asses whether individuals are medically fit for their designated job role. We will also advise on any reasonable adjustments that may be required for someone to manage in their new role. New Starter and Pre-placement  screening can be carried out on a paper-screening basis or we can carry out a full ‘job specific’ medical. 

New Starter and Pre-Placement screening will:

• Ensure that perspective employees are fit for their intended role

• Prevent or reduce the incidence of occupational exposure to potential hazards

• Satisfy your obligations under the Equality Act 2010

• Reduce compensation claims

• Protect an individuals health and welfare

Sickness/Absence Management

OHSB offer a sickness/absence management service, designed to help organisations manage their long-term and short-term absences. With sickness/absence being a major issue for employers causing direct costs to industry,  our service will benefit employers by:

• Reducing sickness/absence levels and associated costs

• Improving worker morale

• Protecting all workers

• Retention of trained and valued staff

Health Surveillance

We provide health surveillance services to help identify ill health affects in employees at an early stage allowing employers to provide better controls to prevent problems worsening, as well as providing employers with data to help evaluate health risks in general. Services provided can include all or a sub-set of the below depending on your bespoke requirements:

• General well being checks

• Audiometry

• Spirometry

• Hand arm vibration assessments

• Vocational eyesight tests

• Skin assessments

• Safety critical medicals

Training services

We offer a number of different training courses, including:

• First aid at work

• Emergency aid

• Defibrillation training

• Manual Handling
